We invite you to undertake an on- line Personal Ecology Profile which will facilitate you in the construction of a metaphorical landscape.
Step ONE - Produce the personality assessment report
You do the PEP Lite online and a report is produced for you.
This first stage of the process is a good way of tapping into underlying subconscious processes behind your behaviours. This is an extremely useful and powerful way of understanding yourself and how you relate to your ‘world’.
Step TWO - Analysis
Your report is analysed, both by yourself and by a designated coach.
Step THREE - Coaching
Session one - Where are you now?
A specialist coach will read your report and then coach you, analysing the results, discussing your landscape and selecting some specific areas of your report to home in on. This consultation is either a face to face session or via telephone. It involves an in-depth modelling of your situation and from this comes a personal clarity of the situation that is bespoke to you.
All information is confidential and there is a client confidentiality agreement in place to support this.
Session two - Where do you want to be?
In a second session you construct a metaphoric landscape that is personal and congruent with what you want to be like, want to achieve and any other aspect that is important to you.
You can develop your metaphor, capture the new experience and relate this to your desired outcome.
Further sessions
Your landscape can then be used to analyse your interaction with others such as work colleagues, friends and family. With this depth of understanding comes systemic changes that reflect the best of human potential.
Development on any level is an ongoing process. We are available to continue to support you in this or any other area of your life
What happens when we work together
- You gain a deep understanding of your current ‘life’ or ‘work’ position and start to examine it.
- As we work together we develop a working alliance based on confidence, safety and trust. You become more comfortable with the process of dealing with difficult issues.
- You gain insights into yourself and experience ‘ah ah’ moments. When you see the “whys” of your problems the “hows” of the solution become evident.
- Insights increase your ability to change, you can choose to act differently to problems and experiment with new and more useful positive behaviours
- We end our work together and you have integrated the insights and new behaviours into your life. Profound effects are expected.
Why is this process different
- A lot of innovative science went into putting cameras in space. Viewing the photographs has changed mans experience of our planet. PEP has solid science behind its art but the beauty of the experience is yours.
- Other tests are what they say “tests”. They are a validation of a position, a diagnosis with rigidity.
- The Red Rocks PEP process is an artistic exploration of a unique person - you.
- The experience flows and produces an impression that is then put into language.
Benefits of engaging in this process
- You will gain a deeper understanding of who you are and who you want to be
- Better relationships based on understanding of yourself and others
- A clear picture of your potential, your own ‘song to sing’.
- This is all client- lead. You generate your own metaphors, and outcomes. The resulting “self understanding” is easy and comfortable because it is truly yours, generated by you. You can therefore explain and communicate it easily.
- You know where you are, so you can move on.
- You have something to reflect on. This is often the most exiting part as a whole new world of possibilities opens up for development.
- You are able to make progress more quickly. Our coach starts from the point of having read your PEP Lite report so can make an impact even from the first session. A clear picture can be drawn out easily and in an enjoyable manner. We anticipate that within 2-4 hours of coaching we can complete our initial coaching brief. This allows us to provide some fixed price coaching packages.
Underlying Theory and Assumptions
- We operate from a systemic humanistic constructivist paradigm.
- This means that we believe each one of us is made up of parts which make up a system, for example body, mind and spirit make a person and that each distinct individual is also part of something larger, for example a family, a community or a society.
- Systems can be modelled and understood and operate according to patterns, which can be detected and are predictable under given circumstances. Some of these patterns may be useful and some may have served a purpose in the past but are no longer the most useful courses of action now.
- Humanistic means we are optimistic about human potential and we believe that each person has their own path with its own perspectives and needs. By applying systemic thought with the aim of catalysing human potential positive changes are facilitated.
- Constructivism means that humans know things and make sense of the world by building a meaning with objects, people, ideas, and philosophies. It is important that we respect and honour the experience of the world as the other has constructed it. Again, the world constructed may no longer be the most useful way of being for any individual or group but with the belief that by applying humanistic and systemic philosophies a new construct, or view, may be formed which will be more useful.
Assumptions
From a newborn baby we develop a primary relationship with our care giver and that relationship begins to frame and structure our beliefs about ourselves, other people and the world in which we live. This early development influences our future in many ways that no single theory approach can fully account for. This is why we encourage diversity in thinking and recognise diversity in feeling and experience.
